The search screen is designed to help you isolate groups of your titles registered with Copyright Clearance Center by using filters such as publication name, ISBN/ISSN, author, publication type, publication date, service, rights category or fee within each service.
Use this field to search for your titles using one or more key words. Wild card searches are not supported. For instance, search for your new engineering title by typing 'engineering' into the Publication Title field.
Abbreviations & Acronyms
Common publication name and publisher name abbreviations may be entered in search fields
Example 1: A search for GOVT will return results such as "GOVT. CONTRACT LAW" as well as "AMERICAN GOVERNMENT".
Example 2: A search for ACS will return results such as "ACS CHEMICAL BIOLOGY" as well as "AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY JOURNAL".
(Note: This feature does not apply to the ISSN/ISBN or Author fields)
RightsCentral searches are not case-sensitive.
For Example: A publication title search for "business week" is the same as a search for "BUSINESS WEEK"
Use this field to search for one or more ISBNs or ISSNs. When you want to search for up to 100 ISBNs or ISSNs at a time, click the "add multiples" link.
- Standard numbers are the quickest way to get to an exact standard number match
- Standard numbers may be entered with or without hyphens
- Do not use spaces in place of hyphens
Use this field to search for your publications by author last name, or first name and last name entered in any order. (Note: this field will not search for editors at this time even though the search results include editor as well as author; we'll include editor as a searchable field in future releases).
Use this field to filter your title lists based on the publication types assigned to your titles registered with CCC. Depending on the type of publications you publish, your drop down could have one value, such as "Monographic Series" or many.
Use this field to filter your title lists based on a publication date. Your choices are:
- An exact month and year (select an operator of "within")
- All titles published after a specified month and year (select an operator of "after" which means show me all titles published within this month and year and after this month and year)
- All titles published before a specified month and year (select an operator of "before" which means show me all titles published within this month and year and published prior to this month and year)
- All titles published in a specified date range (select an operator of "between" and specify both a beginning month/ year and an end month/ year)
Use this field to select titles enrolled in a specific CCC service - All, Academic Annual Copyright License, Pay-Per-Use - Print (Academic), Annual Authorizations Service, Pay-Per-Use - Digital Use, Digital Repertory Amendment, Pay-Per-Use - Digital Use (Academic), Pay-Per-Use - Republication, and Pay-Per-Use - Print Use. To learn more about each service, such as the formats covered, use types, markets reached and types of customers, please use the Licensing service overview link under "Have Questions?".
Rights Category & Fees
Use this field to select titles that are either preauthorized or not in CCC's services. Preauthorized means you have granted CCC authorization to convey immediate permissions (per your instructions to CCC) upon customer request.
When you select "Preauthorized" AND a specific service, you can then filter further on fees per right-type. When you select "Non-preauthorized", you can also select right type of "All", "Deny", "Contact RH Directly", "Review Required", or "Contact RH."
Example: You could search for all of your titles preauthorized in our Academic Permission Service with a per page fee of $1.00. To do this, the following fields would be used:
- "service" reflects a drop down value of "Pay-Per-Use - Print (Academic)"
- "Right Category" reflects a radio button highlighted of "Preauthorized"
- "Fee" reflects an operator of "equals", a value of "1.00", and a right of "per page"
Click the "Search" button to submit the search.
Note: your search results reflect your search parameters as "Results for" above the title count per page. "service" reflects a drop down value of "Pay-Per-Use - Print (Academic)"
Use the "Clear" button to create a new search.
Search results include title information, publication ID number, publication date(s), and author or editor. Click the "Download titles (CSV)" link to save search results to your hard drive. Open the CSV file in Excel. The search parameters and the field mentioned above are included in the file.
Note: If you search for a title list that contains more than 65,000 rows, you will receive a message prompting you to refine your search. Use the "Revise search" link to refine your search. The search screen is designed to help you isolate groups of your titles registered with Copyright Clearance Center by using filters such as publication name, ISBN/ISSN, author, publication type, publication date, service, rights category or fee within each service.
