How do I get Started and find Articles on Copyright.com?

My document title

CCC provides permission for the reproduction and distribution of copyrighted materials in print and electronic formats on behalf of rightsholders who list their titles with us.

You can check our title database at www.copyright.com to determine if we handle permissions covering a particular publication.  From the website, you will be able to determine if you can obtain permission immediately, if you have to place a Special Order, or if you have to contact the rightsholder directly.  (If you need to contact the rightsholder directly, our system will provide you with contact information, if available).

Getting Started:

When you go to Copyright.com, you will find a box in the center of the home page that says “Get Permission”.  Enter the ISBN/ISSN or the title of the publication, not the name of the article or chapter, in which the material originally appears.  Click on “Go” and proceed.

If you will be submitting permission requests through Copyright.com, you will need to establish an account on Copyright.com before “checking out”.  The only charges you will be responsible for are the royalty fees, which are set by the rightsholder (copyright owner), and a Copyright Clearance Center processing fee of $3.50, per granted request.  Copyright.com will provide you with a quick price quote prior to committing to a purchase for all non-special orders.
